| Notes | I cannot buy shorts or trousers to fit me! I have had 6 babies and have quite a round tummy but not heavy hips. These trouser make a lovely shorts pattern. I also wear a support short (SRC bike pants) due to a back issue. I can make these short long enough to cover them as well! I added belt loops, stitched down centre pleat and cigarette splits at the sides. The fabric is a black, stretch cotton ottoman but I have made another pair in navy linen. Both are on heavy rotation in my wardrobe. |

Most women have this problem ... me too. Where I buy pants they say right ..... definitely tighten 8 cm in the waist again :) Now for the first time I made one myself and still had to make a change. I like your pants very much and will look good on you!

I agree with you that "ready to wear" clothes just do not fit - sewing for ourselves is a wonderful thing! -

This a a beautiful classic model. I like the side zipper: not always easy to pull it up, but comfortable to wear!

This is what I like about Lekala patterns: you can make clothes that actually fit (because who actually has the standard body measurements?) What amazes me most about your shorts...how you found time to make not only one, but TWO pairs of them with six children! You must be SuperMom! LOL
