Notas My mother always has problems to find a dress that is elegant but warm at the same time. So I thought why not make her one myself (again, I used flanell fabric).

And this is the result. Quite different from the picture of the original pattern, I used the different parts of the dress to create a nice color-blocking effect. I also shortened the sleeves to 3/4 length, which looks simply better on my really petite mother, as the sleeves are quite wide and hang really loose especially around her wrists, and I extended the dress by about 10cm, as she likes to have her knees and half of the calves covered.. I also got rid of the collar - she thought she might look old in it.

And I had a really hard time not adding tons of cute detail as I usually do :D However, I couldn't stop myself from using a lace zipper, some lace at the neckline and two decorative buttons for the fake button blend. I am very proud - she likes the dress and will wear it for Christmas eve.
