| Notities | As it is getting colder and I keep "borrowing" my boyfriend's lumberjack shirt, I thought why not using flanell for a nice and cozy autumn dress? I think this was a brilliant idea, the dress turned out wonderfully comfortable and warm. I added 1 centimeter to my actual measurements to be able to wear a long sleeve shirt and warm leggings underneath. The sleeves of the dress took me about two hours of pinning the pieces together until I figured out how they belong together otherwise this dress was made quite quickly. To get rid of too much "lumberjack" and make the dress look more feminine and playful, I added a satin and lace waistband and a little heart application at the front and used a black lace zipper at the back. I also shortened the dress a good deal to make it look even more playful and added a fake button blend to break the pattern of the chest, as I thought the pattern made my chest look rather broad... I must say I am so much in love with this dress, I really hope you like it too! |
