Notes Tried this style out because the sleeve design was interesting and looked as though it may be comfortable. I did not like the shape of the dress when constructed - the bodice darts going into the waist seam and the flared skirt going out from the seam immediately did not give a smooth line at the waist. I decided to add in a small waistband to smooth this transition, used the bodice patterns (with the darts pinned closed) to draft a curved waistband with a finished width of 3cm.

Dress is made from a Liberty Tana Lawn cotton, pattern is called "Marco", a tiny black flower print on dark green background. Fully lined with a black silk/cotton.

Discovered a problem with the sleeve design - this bat shape does not fit smoothly under a cardigan (I should have guessed this...!!!) this is a good reason to wear with my favourite jacket (5161) :)
