Notas Beige polyester chiffon with a border print of growing black dots. Lined with a linen-looking extra soft Polyviscose fabric in beige color.
Alterations: I cut the upper parts & waistbands in one piece, I cut the lower part & trimming in one piece. The dress is a little wide in waist. I will also add extra length because of personal taste.
Construction: I make an underlining instead of a lining, because the fabric is transparent. I will use the underlining fabric to make Hong Kong seam finish. So I cut underlining fabric with 1 cm wider seam allowance on vertical seams.

    Either of your proposed seam options could work well, or perhaps French seams - as these could be made really narrow.
    I shall look forward to seeing your finished dress!

    I am hesitating to line this dress and both the fashion fabric and lining to be done with flat felled seams, or to underline the garment with the lining fabric and do Hong Kong seam finish. What do you think is better for this sheer fabric? Thank you
