Notes No fastenings make this blouse really quick and easy to construct. Managed to squeeze this out of less than 1m of cotton fabric. The fabric is a Liberty Tana Lawn, with a print of cherry blossom and blue tits.

Although the blouse looked fine from the front and back once finished, it was very loose-fitting and looked like a tent from the side. This did not fit my style and felt too loose to be comfortable, so I fixed the front box pleat in place by sewing on buttons.

Now the pleat is fixed with the buttons I am pleased with this and am likely to make this again. Pictures may look a little creased, as I had been wearing this all day when they were taken!

Thank you everyone for all the nice comments!
I have since made several of these in different fabrics, this is a great style - a good showcase for nice fabric, quick to make and very comfortable to wear.

Great solution! I think it looks really cute with the buttons, and you still kept the softness of the style.
