Notes Progress:
-printed out pattern and trimmed edges. Glued together and cut out paper pattern.
-added seam allowances and cut out fabric.
-purchased 30-35cm invisible zip.
-sewn together front and back with french seams, as fabric I'm using frays a lot. Omitted zip as garment is loose enough to be taken on and off without it.
-added neckline detail piece and facings.
-trying rolled hems on sleeves before attaching.
-finished hem with serger and machine blind hem stitch.

Overall I think this pattern was a bit beyond my beginner status, with minimal instructions. I'm unhappy with bits of it because my finishing skills aren't the best. I overlapped the sleeve pieces at the top of the shoulder and don't think I should have. The material in the cowl doesn't sit as well as I had hoped over a large bust. But a fun make, I learned a lot.

When I started sewing for myself, I saw beautiful material but eventually I chose the wrong material for the model I wanted to make.
Sometimes I go wrong but the more you make the better you feel what substance you need.
Do not give up because I think we all have this.
I think it's good that you've come out and it has become a nice blouse!
