I liked the style of this coat. I made it reversible, and added welt pockets (who doesn't use pockets on a coat!). I added some elastic on the back waist to make it a bit more feminine and put a decorative band to cover the elastic. On the floral side, the band is used to hold up the panels for the hidden ruffles. The hood was too big, so I took off 2.5-3 inches from the front and added a drawstring. I also took off some hem length so it would fall just above the knee.
