| Notes | This is a lovely, easy-to-sew, fitted pencil-style skirt. The matched pairs of darts - thus four darts - on the back, together with the single pair on the front and the subtle shaping of the seams gives a smart, 'professional' appearance to the skirt (a remnant of a suiting would be ideal for office wear). I found it, as it is printed, to be a few inches above the knee, just as it appears on the model, so I simply cut it a few inches longer at the hem as I wanted it to be mid-knee length. Honestly, I don't know why anyone would look anywhere else for a basic fitted skirt pattern! I've recommended it to many people - with the proviso that beginners use a suitable reference book - and everyone who's tried it has had 100% success with the fit. Will follow up with photos. |
