Notes Made in a stretchy fabric.
According Lekala I would have needed 3.40m (150 cm wide), I cut it in 1,5 meter + 1 meter (still fabric left). U used the first part (1,5 meter: front at the fold to the right, back at the selvedge) at the left, one of the insets I moved a bit lower inbetween. The 2nd fabric (1 meter) I did use for the other inset and the collar, and still plenty of fabric left.

This pattern is a peace of cake. A lof of fabric to handle, but made without any hassles.

As I am not fond of bias, I made use of a contrast golden satin at the backside of the collar, and instead of the bias I did fully line the upper part of the dress, at the edge of the collar - the edge of the front neckline - as well as the armscyes I sew stretch piping. With Cordonnet and flashy ‘antique’ golden yarn I made loops for the tiny buttons (as the dress has to shine, not the buttons.

As I am not fond of gathering, I made small pleats. The hem is hand-sewn (took a lot of time, as the hem is wide).

It can be worn in summer (bare arms) or in winter (with a lace top underneath).
