Notities	Skirt With Topstitched Decorative Details. Made in Jacquard and Terlenka. I did receive - from a friend of a friend -free of charge a piece of fabric. A pattern for a blouse, but I made a vest out of it. Still there was one -not all that large – piece of it left. In a box of leftover deadstock I found, by coincidence (I went for a zipper) a matching contrast color piece of Terlenka. En voila, this skirt was created. I did not change the pattern, but made minute alterations. The side inset I did strengthen 3x with non sticking fusible interfacing 2 Days ago I bought at a clearance fusible interfacing on a roll, 100 meter, for 1 euro. Once at home checking it, it appeared to have only here and there some glue. But for this inset it came handy, as with glue the inset would have been too stiff). Then topstitched 3x each topsttich in contrasting red thread. The hem is hand-sewn.. The center front waistband was kind of an enigma. So I just proceeded as I thought it would manage. Or the front waistband is not the outlook it should have, nor is the back waistband. So, something went wrong, or even both went wrong. However, the skirt has a waistband, voila. I am not going to loose my sleep over it.
