Notes Made in lightweight linen. Not that easy to work with, but so nice to wear in summer.

First the upside of this pattern:
It s easy to make, easy peasy! Even for beginners this is one to try out. You don’t need much fabric, and you can truly make this without reading the instructions even.

Then the downside: Originally a ‘Fitted’ (wearing ease) model. But even this ‘made to measure’ size was too small at my belly (I have a bloated one, I must say), as well as around the hips (yes, I have a ‘Michelin tyre). But this wasn’t much of a problem in the past. Now it was. And I only came to that conclusion when the blouse was finished and I was fitting. In order not to waste the fabric already used (yes indeed, I am some kind of a miser!), I decided to add fabric in between the front and the back, in order to have some more ease I made this wide and created a fold under the armpits. I did not change any other to the pattern than this solution, left the pattern as it was, even it’s length. Faux ‘Mother-of-pearl’ buttons. Used one more button (as I have a button fetisj, and some more looked even nicer), directly sewn on the fabric (so no buttonholes, as the left front and the rightside front are sewn together, thus no fold.
