I created this dress in early July after having made the Cashmerette Holyoke dress and wanted to compare them on my Youtube vlog Michoumakes.
The fabric was from Pound fabrics a year or two back and I made a couple of changes to the original design.
I split the skirt panels in 2 place to widen the hem and add more flare. And I didn't use the patch pockets but incorporated them in the side seam. Much better.
Of the two which do I prefer?
Well I do like this one because of the fact that it's to my own measurements and personally I had less issues for fitting.
Also the most obvious one is the cost. This one is way cheaper.
The back panel on this one is much lower than the Holyoke and that did bug me (when worn as a pinafore but less so as a sun dress) a little but if I were to remake this I would raise it a little more.
Other than that I absolutely love the pattern.
