| 笔记 | I found 2 pieces of scrap quilt (each 18”x30”) in a neighborhood free pile and wanted to make a jacket out of it. I bought and previewed numerous jacket patterns but none of them would work for such a small amount of fabric, even mixed with other materials...... until I found this pattern. I mixed the quilt scraps with leftover thick blue polar fleece for the yokes and thin green polar fleece as side panels and undersleeves. Shortened body and sleeves to fit the quilt pieces, omitted facings and doubled the yokes to accommodate quilt bindings at CF. I only needed 1 button so didn't add others. I found the pockets too shallow so I added the extensions/welt with the very last bit of quilt. The sleeves were too wide so I added elastics. Very happy with how it turned out. It's been worn and laundered before I remember to take photos! |
