| Notes | Fabric: inherited from my grandmother 3 pieces of chocolate brown fabric that must be a suiting fabric blend with wool, yet thin. Perhaps some polyester ? I am unsure. She started a straight knee length skirt, I had a rectangle for the front, and two half sizes rectangles for the back. I will finish this skirt. I found this pattern suits what the original idea would have been. I am impatient to wear it thinking of her and old times. I used acetate lining I was worried not having enough fabric to cut à Nice vent because the fabric was precut so I added a pleated kick pleat slit - or what you call it. I am happy with it although I think it is a little too loose in waist even after I adjust the elastic. But at least it is not too tight like most of my old skirts. After all this is the idea of an adjustable waistband I think… |
