Notes You’ll need a lot (lot!) of fabric to fabricate this one.
In order to minimize this lot I laid my patterns against the ‘grain’. Saves a lot of fabric, it depends on the structure and the motiv of the fabric ofcourse. My fabric did not show any of this (lucky me!).

The skirt is made of wool.

It seems so ‘simple’, these folds, but believe you me: it takes a lot of work to fold and sew these folds.
It helps if you iron the folds in first, then start to sew.

Sew in a zipper at the back. The skirt is fully lined. Made the hem 4 cm, handsewn.

The wool was too thick to make the folds at the front in reverse. It would have made the one who would wear it looking ‘plump’ (and I already look ‘plump’ to begin with, even without this intentional skirt). I will make use of some other fabric to create the skirt with reverse folds, as it was my intention to start with. The fabric decided otherwise.

I like this pattern and model very much. It is a straight forward pattern, just takes a lot of time to fix the skirt. But if time is no issue for you, then please give this model a go. AAAAA++++++.

PS The top I bought at a thrift store.

A nice skirt you made. I certainly wil give a try. Good to here that the fabric must not be to heavy. Maybe a woolen crêpe from circa 180 gram?
