Notizen Another blouse for Lidia's clinical simulation. The criteria is neat, modest neckline, good length, short or 3/4 sleeves and no ties or bows that can be grabbed.

Textured cotton with a silk sheen.
Plastic buttons as a plain white shirt will need to soaked at some point.

Lovely shirt. My tulip sleeves did not line up perfectly and I had to trim them slightly to get them to work. Pay attention to your notches, I was not careful enough and had to unpick and re stitch one sleeve AFTER I had finished and top stitched the sleeve (many naughty words uttered)

I finished the sleeve with a narrow double hem, the same with the hem. I press and fold my hem and THEN fold the self placket, finishing the bottom of the placket by hand for a perfect finish.



Lots of lovely details add up to a solid 4 hour enjoyable sew.

*Edited to add, once trying on my daughter the body fit beautifully but the sleeves were a little constrictive for examining 'patients' but will be lovely to wear out. I possibly should have stretched and eased the excess fabric in the sleeve cuff and not cut it off?*
