| Notes | I made this blouse from a secondhand men's XL dress shirt and tried to keep as many of the original features as I could, including shirt hems and button plackets. I made several modifications: doubled and "burrito" the back yoke, got rid of the ruffles, lengthened the sleeves as much as I had the material for and eliminated cuffs (left the original sleeve plackets, but without cuffs), used button plackets for the yoke edges. I was confused about the amount of front gathering I was supposed to do. The dimensions given in the pattern is too large and it would'nt be gathered at all. So I constructed the garment without gathering and then ran a few lines of shirring (with elastic thread in bobbin) for a flexible gather. It worked. |
