| Notizen | The main fabric was a leftover given to me by a friend. Very happy with it, as I love-love-seersucker (my first love ever). The contrast fabric is a remainder of another Lekala blouse. To me it’s a great match. I did use the pattern as it is, elongated the blouse, as Lekala blouses and tops are short if it needs to hide a belly. I did raise the front neckline, as the original was too far open to my lining (Lekala always has such). The neck facing at the front I did double all down to the hem. As the side seams of the pattern did run equal, I did cut the front and sides in one piece. At the armholes I did make use of stretchy bias. Was doubting if I would use buttons as well, but decided to give it a go. It’s OK, takes your eye away from the blandness of the contrasting fabric. Finished in one afternoon. That’s how simple sewing can be as well. Still have some left of these fabrics, so I’ll create another garment with these in the future (near or far). I am happy with the pattern, nothing wrong with it. |
