Заметки Note: No way on earth you can make this blouse look like the drawing: or a pattern piece is missing, or the instructions are way off. I am sewing since I am 15, I am now 68, so I go a long way. This one I refused to give in, but alas, for the first time in my career I had to bite the dust.
At the drawing it looks as if the front has kind of a yoke… It hasn’t. It is impossible to fit any kind of collar with the shape of the pattern given. If one is able: please do let me know how, as this one will haunt me forever. I took 4 hours of my time to figure out how this collar would fit in… It didn’t… The stand collar does fit. I had a look at the screenshot, as sometimes one can figure out (such as exzessive fabric which needs to be cut of - but no mentioning of this - so one keeps on trying to fit all fabric in…)

Sometimes I wonder if all Lekala patterns are tested and made in reality, surely this one does.

As I already had cut the collar - added fusible interfacing - I did not want to waste it, so I took the pattern of the Lekala Office blouse (I made in the past), cut this collar and as the stand collar of the blouse I was making did fit, I rounded the shape of the front tip. I made front and back neck-facings, as a collar is too ‘heavy’ to stand up on it’s own on a single fabric. Voila, blouse made. I just cuts my ‘seamstress honor’ that for the first time I had to beat the dust on this one.

Except the collar the pattern is very nice. I love - love - love the cuffs. So eccentric and special! Will surely make these cuffs again.

Correction: I'v got a tip (from someone on 'Pattern review') on how I should make the collar: "There is no yoke in this design. The collar has long extensions that you fold/roll under and stitch into the front band placket. What you see as "yoke" is the edges of the rolled collar." So I will choose another fabric and try again. Will post this if I have succeeded'.
