| Notes | This shirt was hibernating over the winter as happens when a wool flannel shirt is finished but for the buttons in the spring. I was admittedly nervous about cutting into my precious Pendleton wool but if I do say so myself my husband looks quite fetching in the end product. I had to make some significant adjustments (more so than usual with Lekala). Fortunately, I had worked the bugs out of the fit during my first go 'round with this pattern. It trimmed 2" from the shoulders and reshaped the side seams taking between 1 to 2". I used flat felled seams for the side seams and sleeves which turned out nicely. I considered lining the collar stand with silk to reduce itchiness and bulk (the fabric is pretty substantial). He said it wasn't itchy so I forwent that. Pictures will be forthcoming when I get around to it. |
