| ノート | I fell in love with this pattern and hopefully will make a matching skirt with a black strip at the hem. The black binding at the sleeves was an easy accent to add and added a bit of punctuation to the black collar. I consider this a pretty easy pattern to sew. The tulip/overlapping sleeves are a snap to set - they're super forgiving.. I did have to do a bit of cleanup at the corner where the collar meets the pleat - if and when I make another one, I'll be conscious of how deeply I clip the corner. I also decided to top stitch the neckline because the original understitching didn't make the facing lie flat enough to suit me. I hadn't sewn in over 20 years, other than some hand-mending and hemming. It was a pleasure to use this pattern and get back in the swing of things! |
