| Notes | This is a simple pattern without much finesse, but it turned out well. I used a heavy silk damask which was perhaps not the best material, as the collar ruffles are gathered which leaves a thick edge in the collar area- not comfortable. I cut a bias cover and hand sewed it on which worked well. I also sewed down the seams on the arms into the cuffs, which is a very basic finish. Also, it has no fitting darts so it hangs fairly straight. It is very comfortable, and would work well in a thinner casual fabric like cotton or a blend. I made this blouse a few years ago and I have worn it occasionally- but I now have a jacket (4466) that I can wear it with. The collar fits perfectly inside the jacket and the blouse looks great tucked into jeans. |
