| ノート | My first wearable "mock-up". I used a black cotton voile scrap piece and a scrap of white cotton voile that I coloured with acrylic paint with fabric medium mixed in. When I was having fun painting them, I decided I would add more "bows" in rainbow colours just because I could (and it's pride month, so that's a bonus). Red, yellow, blue and pink are where the original marks are. In the end I put it to a vote among my friends and decided not to make the strips into bows. They turned out a little stiffer than the original fabric because of the acrylics. Next time I won't paint them so they have a little more drape to them. I think it turned out well, I also think that this is actually wearable as a bikini cover up or as clothes if you wear a slip dress or shorts with a top under it! It could also be very wearable if you add an extra panel below the bows. |
