| ノート | Loosely woven linen looking cotton fabric. First trial of this pattern. I replaced the pleated front insets with strips of different laces I have already to recycle some old pieces of treasures I have, sitting in my cabinets for ages… for this reason I find this pattern practical. I replaced neck flounced collar by a lace trim. It comes together easily, it is well fitted. Alterations needed: very few ! I needed to change the armholes to scoop in the front and add in the back approximately 1 cm. I often need this so it is probably just for me. I added 1 cm to each front piece at the bust. I raised the neckline 1 cm and shortened the collar but only the upper part of it. And shortened the cuff because I have thin arms I find it a well fitting well made design which I recommend ! I am going to make more of this Note : if you make the pleated design as planned, it is in fact important to stitch down the pleats before otherwise it is a pain to iron them back to place evenly. |
