‘Made to measure’, but not quite. The back was too wide, the jacket already finished (included lining), so I had to squeeze my inventive lemons to come up with something. Succeeded, it even looks like it was intended in the model, made a fold at the center back in the lining as well. This jacket is second last in the series ‘Old draperies’ series, used draperies I received free of charge. Have just a bit left. I would not call it a ‘jacket’, as to me it looks more like a vintage ‘Brigitte Bardot’ apparel. For the collar I used the front and back of the fabric, as in this same fabric I also made the Lekala 4943 dress, more a pinafore than a dress (also listed as well), so it would go along with that item as well. Except the back, the pattern of the jacket fits. The skirt is Lekala S3108, High Waisted Skirt With Gored Flounces (also listed as well). |
