| 笔记 | I chose this as a casual style suitable for making from denim and adding some embroidery. The denim fabric has some stretch, I lined it with some striped jersey (didn't have enough of this, so the lower parts of the sleeves are lined with a plain fabric). Embroidery added to the external pockets, I also put plain pockets on the inside in case I needed to keep things like my mobile phone secure. I added embroidered bands/cuffs to the sleeve hems. These can be showing as sleeve bands when I want the jacket a bit smarter, or folded into cuffs when I prefer a more casual look. Using snap fasteners meant no buttonholes needed. Really pleased with this, the fit is loose without feeling "baggy". Definitely the quickest and easiest jacket I have ever made, this pattern could easily be made by an absolute beginner. |
