笔记 This pattern was not good, random seam allowances were given. Some were 1cm (as normal), others were 1.5cm - in some cases a combination of the 2 different allowances within the same pattern piece! I trimmed off the larger pieces to standardise allowances at 1cm throughout. Pattern was also very short, I added 16cm length to achieve the length shown on the illustration.

I did not feel the small waist facings gave sufficient stability to maintain the shape of the yoke in wearing, so decided to make a few additional stabilisers:-
Full lining (plain white cotton)
Fusible interfacing to yoke sections
Grosgrain ribbon stitched to interior waistline

I made the skirt without the box pleat and highlighted the yoke seams with embroidery. Added a pocket with invisible zip to right side seam.

Very pleased with the final result, this skirt feels good!

Now added some photos with a top made from the same fabric, giving me options to wear the skirt as a “dress”.
