Notes Made a test version of this top from plain white cotton.
This is a nice basic top, I am pleased with it - and received a rare compliment from my husband!!!

Update - I have made version 2 of this top, using embroidery on the sleeve sections, which were lined (the reverse side of the embroidery looked untidy, I also thought it may be a bit “scratchy” in wearing).
The lower parts of the side seams were made into slits, I added a button decoration to reinforce the slit apex and match in with the embroidery colour.
