Note This blouse is longer than I expected from the pictures. It was also a bit snug around the hips which is unusual for Lekala patterns that are for a custom fit.
I left off the pocket welts and put in pockets. I piped the yoke seams and put in some vents in the side and back seams. I lined the sleeves in black lawn instead of hemming. And the black and rose theme extends into collars and collar stands. The reverse of the collar is the main fabric and the collar stand inside is also the main fabric. Looks nice with the collar open.
I left the length as is as I figured if I was going to all the trouble to put vents in as a feature, they should show.
Very happy with the way it turned out.

    Bonjour Désirée,
J'ai utilisé ce tissu pour un chemisier pour ma mère l'année dernière.

    Hi Tannie,
Thank you. It is one of those projects that turn out well even though at times I was ready to throw it out.

I think you are correct. I do kick myself sometimes with Lekala patterns. I get lazy and don't do the measurements before I start cutting like I should. Mostly I don't have problems like this with the patterns.

The contrast color is very cute. Great solution to the hip problem! I had the same issue with snugness around the hips. I think the pattern is just too long in the waist. I found that taking up about an inch from the waist level allows the whole garment to hang better.

Thank you Maria, I think it was a success as i received quite a few compliments for it at work.

I love your rose fabric - and the black piping/edging "frames" the roses nicely. Your back vent was a clever touch, this gives a more interesting shape to the top too!
